About
Hey, I’m Harrison.
I’m a filmmaker, musician, producer (and soon-to-be meditation teacher) based in Toronto, Canada. I prioritize positivity, love, and kindness in every project because I believe the world needs more of it.
With a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Performance and Music Production from Humber College, I’m passionate about blending music and film through directing and cinematography. I find that understanding the inner workings of creating a song helps enhance the production of a music video. My experience in both music and film has given me a unique perspective, allowing me to connect with artists more authentically.
I’ve also been immersed in the YouTube creator world, managing channels, editing videos, and producing popular podcasts. In 2023, I was honoured to receive the Streamy Award for “Best Editing” alongside the team at Yes Theory. I’ve helped grow channels and social media followings by over 7x in just a few months; with my work on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram reaching over 111 million total views.
During my tenure with Yes Theory I specialized in creating impactful 45-minute films from 15 hours of raw footage on a tight 2-week continual schedule. You can check out those pieces here.
I’ve worked with:
Award-winning YouTube channel Yes Theory (8.93M Subscribers)
15x New York Times Bestselling Author and Top 10 podcast host Dr. Mark Hyman (2.8M followers)
Top 50 podcast host and serial entrepreneur Dhru Purohit (30M+ listeners)
Take a deeper dive…
I grew up in Saskatoon, Canada, and spent the majority of my childhood figuring out ways to make the highest quality art out of nothing.
I started playing piano at age 6 and making music videos on YouTube at age 13, inspired by the work of Kurt Hugo Schneider. This was the beginning of merging my love for music with filmmaking. In 2018, I moved to Toronto to attend Humber College, studying under Grammy and Juno Award winners Larnell Lewis, Justin Gray, Mark Kelso, and Hilario Duran. It’s here I began creating live session music videos with my friends. This experience helped me work professionally with artists, capturing their performances visually.
During this time I also delved into the podcast industry, channel managing and editing for Dr. Mark Hyman’s The Doctor’s Farmacy as well as The Dhru Purohit Show. I later moved into a producer role for Better! with Dr. Stephanie Estima, a top health podcast in Canada.
In 2023, I joined Yes Theory as a full-time video editor, working in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality documentaries. I honed my storytelling skills, sculpting hours of uncut, raw moments into impactful and viral films on YouTube.
I’m currently working towards becoming a certified meditation teacher with plans to help heal the industries I’ve been a part of for the past 10 years. Meditation has been a leading part of my life since 2017 and integrating mindfulness into my personal life and work has taught me that great things can be accomplished from a centered place. I always aim to create a peaceful and loving environment wherever I go, whether it be at home or on set :)
